What We Offer

We’ve Something For Nature Lover

Landscape artist Paul Buten still has an inventory of nature-filled paintings that currently reside in his Deep Cove residence.  Paintings from Cates Park, Whistler and other parts of Beautiful British Columbia will be on sale.  The highlights are the hand-crafted replicas of the famous Neuschwanstein Castle and a Bavarian house with a water wheel that can be displayed in a any garden for that traditional Bavarian feel.

Mr. Paul Buten has a fascination with the light and clouds integral to his daily environment and through his many forays into the coastal wilderness of British Columbia. His preferred medium is oil and, though skilled in portraiture, his work has come full circle to settle on the mountains, forest, clouds and water that so intrigued him as a child.

“I am endlessly fascinated by clouds and the quality of air and light here on the coast.” says Buten.

Paul Buten was born in Munich and raised in Benediktbeuern, a municipality in the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen in Bavaria, Germany. Raised in this picturesque village in the mountains of Bavaria, he was tutored by his artist father as well as the regional painters and wood carvers that conducted local workshops.  Paul immigrated to Canada and settled in Vancouver in 1970.

Paul Buten can be reached at 604 929-6092,  in case you would still like to drop by to look at the paintings or after ensuring he is there, you can drop by 594 Dollarton Hwy North, North Vancouver, BC V7G 1N2 between 11 am and 5 pm.
